Valens NTAKATABABAZA is the current night guard at the Shinehouse Gishwati Research Station. Valens was chosen for the position by the local communities and has been a member of the Gishwati Community Forest Protection Committee that assists the Forest of Hope Association eco-guards in the protection of Gishwati forest.
