Thierry Aimable INZIRAYINEZA is the National Coordinator of Forest of Hope Association working on the conservation of protected areas in Rwanda. Since 2012, Thierry has overseen all aspects of day-to-day FHA operations, and plays a critical role in the conservation of Gishwati forest, part of the Gishwati-Mukura National Park, the youngest park in Rwanda. Coordinating forest protection is the most fundamental aspect of his work in addition to facilitating the work of researchers studying the biodiversity of Gishwati. He also leads the community engagement programs for people living around Gishwati forest, providing critical support for the many environmental clubs in local schools and supporting cooperatives around the forest to improve their livelihood. Thierry holds a bachelor’s degree in biology with a focus on botany and biodiversity conservation from National University of Rwanda.
