The Shinehouse Gishwati Research Station offers services to visiting groups such as study abroad groups and small conferences/symposia. Our dormitory facility can house up to 24 individuals in bunk-bed style accommodations and a limited number of private rooms are also available. Reservation Fee: All groups staying at the research station are required to pay a non-refundable reservation fee at the time of booking.
Food, Cooks, Additional Services: Fees for these services can be paid upon arrival at the research station. These fees represent the market rate for food and services.
Lodging: Lodging fees can be paid upon arrival at the research station. Please note, although the dormitory can house up to 24 students, there is limited availability for private rooms.
Trail Maintenance: The trail maintenance fee can be paid upon arrival at the research station. This fee applies to all days that your group will be inside Gishwati forest and is used to maintain the trail system.
